Skilled Labourer

Responsibilities include:

  • Measuring and cutting various materials

  • Assembling floors, walls and roofs

  • Skillset with power tools, measuring tools, etc

  • Lifting, climbing and keeping work areas clear and organized

  • Assist lead carpenters in daily construction tasks

  • Perform other activities as directed by the supervisor at construction sites.

  • Installing interior and exterior finishing materials

  • Installing windows and doors

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 10-hour day shifts

Expected Hours: 40 hours weekly

Lead Carpenter

The successful candidate will be able to give clear instructions and guidance to apprentices and other labourers. Some key responsibilities for this role of Lead Carpenter include:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements

  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools

  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials

  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems

  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware

  • Survey building locations and levels

  • Instruct apprentices, Supervise other workers, Estimate costs and materials

  • Understand prefab methodologies

  • A general curiosity to learn our methods, develop and grow with our teams and other workers

  • Estimate costs and materials

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $35.00-$50.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 10-hour day shifts

Expected Hours: 40 hours weekly

Senior Architectural Designer

We're looking for a Senior Architectural Designer to join our team! Creativity and attitude are key attributes in this role. Core responsibilities include:     

  • Consulting with clients to determine the type, style and purpose of the project being considered (new custom, new model, addition) as well as needs, preferences, safety requirements and purpose of space     

  • Conducting feasibility studies and simple financial analyses of building projects    

  • Conceptualize and design buildings along with the Construction Manager to define the preferred building option (modular/panelized or hybrid)     

  • Design in accordance with building codes, bylaws, space requirements, site requirements and coordinate with Architectural Technologist     

  • Coordinate with a team of consultants     

  • Develop plans describing design specifications, building materials and construction schedules     

  • Supervise drafters, technicians and technologists on the architectural team     

  • Prepare or supervise the preparation of drawings using REVIT     

  • Coordinate with Estimator for budgeting     

  • Prepare or supervise the preparation of framing shop drawings along with the Construction Manager/Foreman     

  • Oversee construction projects and coordinate with the Project Manager/Construction Manager on construction sites to ensure compliance with specifications
